Gebrüder Konrad - the company

The Gebrüder Konrad GmbH has been founded in 1990 in Buchholz near Hamburg (in the north of Germany) by Karl and Peter Konrad as an enterprise for mechanical harvest.

 

In the years of 1970 to 1980 the first Prozessor, as well as harvester-

and forwarder, have been developed and improved in Skandinavia. 

 

The Gebrüder Konrad GmbH used as one of the first german enterprises the modern harvester-
and forwarder technologie.
In the forestal sector the speak about high-mechanical harvesting, with the securtity
and efficiency during harvest, end-use as well as after unforeseen desasters (windbreak,
bork beetle affection) which has reached new dimensions.

 

Peter Konrad

Since the beginning the company works with well educated staff and the newest machines.
In 1999 Peter Konrad became head of the enterprise and he consequently looked forward to offer services and insets all over Europe.

Clients in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe trust on great cooperation.

Fiew on the history of the enterprise:

 

·        1982

      Formation of the forest company Peter Konrad in Buchholz, Northern Germany

·        1990

      Formation of the Gebrüder Konrad OHG Karl and Peter Konrad, buying the first
      harvester for DM 330.000,00 thats about Euro 170.000,00

·        1999

      Takeover of the company through Peter Konrad as sole managing partner     

·        2003

      New building of the company in Krottendorf (Styria, Austria)

            3000 m² area, 800 m² workshop and storehouse, modern washing place,

            100 m² office area

·        30.5.2004

      Opening of the new company building in Krottendorf as part of the Gewerbepark
